Description

Reviewing Samsung's Galaxy S20 FE 5G (Fan Edition) a month later, including in-depth testing of the triple lens camera tech, gaming chops, battery life and the rest. I've been playing with this not-quite-flagship smartphone for a month and using it full-time for a week, so here's my verdict on how the Samsung S20 FE compares vs rivals like the OnePlus 8T. This 5G model costs £699 in the UK, a hundred quid more than the LTE version, but you get the Snapdragon 865 rather than the Exynos 990. That means serious performance (especially for games like PubG and Call of Duty), plus strong battery returns. This Galaxy is a serious goer. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition sports very decent specs for the price, including 128GB UFS 3.0 storage, a 6.5-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen and stereo speakers. Compared with the regular flagship phone, there's no Quad HD setup - although you had to choose between that and the top refresh rate anyway. The camera tech is also slightly pared down, with no 8K video or crazy Space Zoom, but photo and video results on the whole are very similar. One UI 2.5 is still enjoyable too, even with the cloning of many Android features. Android 11 is due in 2021. So that's my review of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G, one month later. Let me know what you think below!
