Clean the moisture sensor on your Samsung dryer so it doesn’t shut off early | Samsung US

If your laundry isn’t coming out fully dry, a dirty moisture sensor could be the cause, particularly if you’re using an automatic drying cycle. The moisture sensor bars work by reading a current that is created when the bars get wet from the wet clothes in the dryer. As the clothes dry, the current gets weaker, and the sensor signals the dryer to turn off. Over time, buildup can form on the sensor bars from lint and dryer sheets, which can interfere with getting an accurate moisture reading. This can cause the dryer to turn off before the clothes are dry. To clean the moisture sensor, you’ll need two cloths and some mild soap. After locating the senor bars in your dryer, put a drop of soap on slightly damp cloth and wipe the bars clean. Using the dry cloth, wipe the bars dry. Now check to see if the bars are free of moisture or any noticeable build up by dragging your fingers across them. If you feel any build up, try wiping them clean again.
